Kids love astronomy and looking at the billions of stars and planets that surround us brings out the kid in all of us, no matter what age.
Carl Sagan, in his TV series, “Cosmos,” talked of the “billions and billions” of stars and galaxies. He helped make us more aware of our place in this universe. Incredibly small, but incredibly important none the less.
Bucky Fuller pointed out that we are all astronauts aboard “spaceship earth.” As such, I think we need to encourage future crew members in their study and love of astronomy. That is the purpose of this site.
And astronomy is a great family activity. No one is too young or too old to get into astronomy. And talk about a great gift for a child! A telescope and a few books on stargazing is all a kid needs. A gift like that will long be remembered!
